Darling Ingredients is seeking a Grease Processor/Production Operator to join their team in Doswell, VA.
If you have at least 1 year of experience working in a production environment and your high school diploma or equivalent, Darling wants to hear from you!
This is a critical role where you will be responsible for mastering all aspects of transforming collected used cooking oil into a high-quality finished product. This role is crucial for our plant’s efficiency and involves operating a boiler, heavy equipment, applying practical problem-solving skills to improve processes, and managing finished product shipping.

Essential duties/responsibilities:
- Take charge of the entire grease processing operation, from receiving raw material trucks and trailers to storing finished goods and preparing them for loadout.
- Efficiently manage inventory, ensuring optimal use of storage and smooth processing flows.
- Actively maintain the grease recycling plant’s functionality and appearance, including routine cleaning, performing minor maintenance, and painting. This role requires a proactive approach to keeping our facility in top condition.
- Diligently monitor boiler operation and safety controls to ensure safe and efficient plant performance.
- Control the flow of material from incoming trucks through process tanks, into finished goods storage, and finally to rail tanker loadout.
- Perform periodic preventative maintenance on all processing equipment. A solid mechanical aptitude and willingness to get hands-on with repairs are essential for this role.
- Maintain safety as the absolute top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.
