Due to retirement, Midwest Precision Manufacturing, one of the largest deep hole drilling, honing and gun drilling facilities in the Midwest, is seeking a CNC Machinist to join the Fredonia, WI Team.
If you have at least 2 years of CNC machining experience and strong quality inspection skills, this is a career you should explore.

- Flexible 4 day Schedule: The core schedule for this position is Monday-Thursday, 3pm-2am. There is flexibility for you to come in earlier or work later if needed so long as you get your work done and in the shop for any necessary collaboration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines including lathes, mills, and specialized drilling equipment used for precision machining operations.
- Perform precision machining operations such as deep hole drilling, gun drilling, honing, boring, and sawing on a variety of materials including steel, aluminum, alloys, and exotic metals.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T specifications, and work instructions to produce parts that meet tight tolerance requirements.
- Select, install, and adjust tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters to ensure optimal machining performance and part quality.
- Measure and inspect finished parts using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and dial indicators to verify dimensional accuracy.
- Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks to maintain strict adherence to customer specifications and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust machine settings, tooling, or programs to maintain productivity and precision.
- Conduct routine machine maintenance and maintain clean, organized work areas in accordance with safety and 5S standards.
- Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve overall operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation related to machine settings, inspection results, and job progress.
About the Company:
Midwest opened its doors in 1994 in nothing more than a small garage. In 2006, they built a 30,000 sq. ft state-of-the-art facility, complete with full loading docks and 10-ton overhead cranes; for lifting, loading, and unloading almost any size load. In 2017, they expanded the facility to almost double in size, so that we could extend our services to include both sawing and honing.
