Duties and Responsibilities:
- Program and setup CNC milling machines for custom and low‑volume jobs
- Run machines and produce parts from print to part
- Perform machine setups, tool changes, offsets, and first‑article checks
- Modify and troubleshoot existing CNC programs as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints and tolerances
- Inspect parts using basic precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Identify and correct machining or setup issues during the run
- Move material, prep jobs, and keep work areas organized
- Support general shop needs as they come up (basic machine upkeep, cleanup, organization)
- Work closely with ownership and other machinists in a team‑oriented shop environment
