Rinker Materials, a QUIKRETE company, is looking for a Product Engineer – Civil/Structural Engineering to join their team in DeLand, FL.
If you have your B.S. in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field, your PE license (or the ability to obtain within a few months of hire), and previous precast concrete in the infrastructure/water space, Rinker Materials wants to hear from you.

Essential duties/responsibilities:
- Lead or contribute to the development of new concrete products, considering performance, cost, and market requirements.
- Create and review product designs, ensuring they meet industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct testing and analysis of concrete mixes to assess and improve product performance and durability.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to establish and maintain high-quality standards for concrete products.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in concrete production to enhance efficiency and product consistency.
- Work with raw material suppliers to evaluate and select materials suitable for concrete manufacturing.
- Assist in cost analysis and value engineering to optimize product performance while managing production costs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of product specifications, testing results, and design changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and sales, to address product-related challenges and opportunities.
- Ensure that concrete products comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in product design and manufacturing processes.
- Ability and willingness to review, approve, and seal engineering drawings and calculations in accordance with applicable state engineering licensure requirements
- Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including management and customers.
