Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preassemble, test, troubleshoot, and prepare industrial equipment and systems in the shop.
- Install, configure, commission, and start up equipment at customer facilities.
- Work with fluid-transfer systems, coating lines, curing ovens, material-handling equipment, overhead rail systems, robotics, and related technologies.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, equipment manuals, and bills of materials.
- Coordinate with engineering staff to verify system requirements and resolve technical issues.
- Test completed systems to confirm proper operation and production readiness.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.
- Operate hand and power tools, forklifts, scissor lifts, ladders, and scaffolding safely.
- Follow company, OSHA, and customer safety requirements, including procedures for working with coatings, chemicals, heights, and confined spaces.
- Monitor project timelines and provide clear progress updates during shop preparation and field installation.
- Maintain accurate records of labor hours, expenses, materials, and inventory.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, technicians, and customer personnel throughout each project.
- Train customers on the basic operation and maintenance of installed equipment.
- Travel to customer locations, including overnight travel, as required.
- Work independently or as part of an installation crew with limited direct supervision.
