Position Summary:
The Crew Member is responsible for assisting with the safe, efficient, and humane handling, vaccinating, sorting, and movement of poultry in accordance with company standards, customer requirements, and all applicable animal welfare and biosecurity guidelines. This position requires teamwork, reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work in physically demanding environments.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with catching, sorting, moving, and loading poultry safely and humanely
- Administer vaccines according to company protocols and training
- Follow all biosecurity procedures to prevent cross-contamination between farms
- Operate equipment and tools safely and responsibly
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, vehicles, and equipment
- Adhere to all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Arrive on time and be prepared for scheduled work assignments
- Follow instructions from Crew Leaders and Supervisors
- Accurately complete required documentation and reporting forms
- Maintain professional conduct when interacting with customers and farm personnel
About the Company: Duck Poultry Service is a family-owned company that has been serving the poultry industry since 1942. Providing services to multiple poultry companies located throughout the Southeastern United States. A recent addition to Duck’s Poultry Services Inc. is Duck’s Poultry Transport LLC. a subsidiary company providing turnkey solutions to our customers’ pullet transportation needs. The services provided include loading, transporting, and unloading live poultry at breeder farms. Picking up eggs from breeder farms and delivering them back to hatchery.
