Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pick, prepare, and pack materials for production and shipping.
- Load and unload freight shipments onto trucks.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.
- Count, weigh or measure incoming or outgoing items and compare identifying information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records. Complete paperwork required for documentation.
- Provide individualized solutions for packing, crating and shipping to ensure products arrive damage free to customers.
- Wrap, protect, and pack machinery, equipment or other items. Band, seal, nail, and label crates and other containers with appropriate identification. Weigh, transport, stack or arrange products and packed containers.
- Cut panels of plastic or wire mesh used in guarding assemblies.
- Take apart crates and assemblies for scrap using hand tools.
- Sweeping with a push broom.
- Wiping down aluminum extrusion.
- Organize work area and warehouse to keep area safe and clean.
