Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for sheet metal and related commodities to optimize cost, quality, and supply continuity.
- Monitor metal markets, analyze pricing trends, and apply forecasting insights to guide purchasing decisions.
- Review pricing, contracts, lead times, and service levels to achieve favorable commercial terms and reduce total cost of ownership.
- Manage supplier performance through scorecards, audits, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Mitigate supply chain risks through dual sourcing, contingency planning, and proactive issue resolution.
- Oversee purchase orders and material flow to ensure on-time delivery to support production.
- Prepare reports and communicate commodity trends, supplier performance, and risk factors to leadership and cross-functional teams
