Duties and Responsibilities:
- Travel to customer sites in a company-provided service van to diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Perform mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine repairs on gas, diesel, LPG, and electric forklifts
- Troubleshoot equipment issues in the field and determine effective repair solutions independently
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance and safety inspections
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding equipment condition, needed repairs, and timelines
- Accurately document work performed, parts used, and service reports using paper or digital systems
- Maintain the service van inventory, tools, and parts to ensure readiness for daily calls
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards while working at customer locations
- Manage daily service routes efficiently and professionally
- Take the company service van home nightly and be prepared to begin work directly from home each day
