Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary role of the Industrial Maintenance Technician in Dubuque, IA is to continuously improve the reliability, efficiency, and utilization of plant equipment and manufacturing processes.
- Install, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical plant systems and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in industrial electrical, mechanical, and food processing equipment.
- Document all maintenance activities, observations, and repairs accurately and concisely.
- Improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and utilization through preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Collaborate with team members to support plant operations and complete assigned tasks.
- Apply technical knowledge and hands-on skills to maintain safe and productive manufacturing processes.
- Manage work priorities effectively to meet production schedules and maintenance needs.
About the Company:
The Progressive Processing, LLC, facility in Dubuque, Iowa, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hormel Foods.
The plant was the first new production facility built by Hormel Foods in more than 25 years. Operations began in January of 2010. The 342,000 sq. ft. plant is home to a variety of Hormel products including bacon toppings, SPAM®, and a variety of Hormel® Compleats® microwave meals. The facility employs approximately 325 employees.
