Government Sales, LLC, a provider of food service equipment to the Federal Government, is seeking an Accounting Manager. This is a 100% remote position. Candidates from anywhere in the United States will be considered equally.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Daily:
- Reconcile bank account and record deposits daily. Pay vendor invoices via ACH. Send out ACH payment notifications, and deposit information.
- Determine next day ACH vendor payments and ensure funding is transferred as needed.
- As AR invoices are created compare invoice items to job file and ensure that the item, model, and SIN information is correct for GSA IFF reporting.
- Ensure that AP invoices are entered with the correct account and job.
- Check jobs files as they come in from Project Managers to ensure sales tax and GSA information comply with guidelines and federal laws.
- Handle any daily business insurance or HR issues that may arise.
Monthly:
- Download monthly Credit Line statement and pay interest for the month.
- Download monthly Visa charges and record after Office Manager checks receipts for each employee.
- Prepare Equipment and Furniture Cost of Sales Margins.
- Prepare Sales Reports and calculate sales bonuses.
- Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts.
- Prepare monthly Journal Entries.
- Export Sales by Item Detail to calculate GSA IFF Fees.
- Report monthly IFF Fees.
- Oversee rebate accruals and record monthly vendor rebates.
- Prepare monthly Financial Statements.
- Prepare monthly multi-state sales tax returns.
- Run payroll on the 15th and last day of the month and prepare schedule to report 401(K) earnings and deferrals to American Funds.
End of Year:
- Prepare year-end tax schedules for CPA.
- Prepare yearly 1099’s.
