Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces by sandblasting, sanding, washing, caulking, and spot filling.
- Hang products in racks for painting.
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble paint sprayers, brushes, and other power equipment.
- Mix and prepare paint to meet supplier and customer specifications.
- Apply primer and topcoat using spray guns, brushes, or other equipment.
- Inspect and repair painted surfaces to ensure quality standards.
- Operate cranes and forklifts to position equipment and materials.
- Mask and tape products for protective requirements.
- Maintain and clean work area, equipment, and paint booth.
- Verify paint consistency using a viscosity meter and measure coating thickness.
- Read work orders, interpret specifications, and adjust processes as needed.
- Ensure compliance with production schedules and quality standards.
- Recommend improvements in production methods and equipment performance.
- Follow safety protocols and wear required protective equipment.
