Hughes Customat, “The Original Mat Man,” is seeking a Route Service Representative/Driver to join their team in the Bridgeton, MO area. This is as much a customer service position as it is a driver role where you will be servicing and developing relationships with businesses throughout the area, ensuring that their soiled mats are picked up and that they receive clean mats to replace them. There are no residential customers.

Requirements:
- At least 18 years old.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no DUI or criminal record.)
- Ability to work independently.

Duties and Responsibilities: This job involves the responsibility of exchanging mats in commercial properties and businesses.
- Operate company vehicles to make pickups and deliveries.
- Help with loading and unloading vehicles.
- Heavy lifting, walking, bending, and pulling.
- Complete pre- and post-trip safety and operations checklists and documentation
- Use navigational technology to find and follow optimal routes.
- Represent the company positively and professionally.
- Communicate with service department and customers in a professional, friendly manner.
- Establish relationships with customers you serve each delivery cycle.
- Gain a thorough understanding of the local area and the most efficient routes.
- Help with loading and unloading vehicles – loading mats on a box truck with the help of a forklift. At each stop physically removing the mats from the cart and taking them off the truck. Then, taking the dirty mats back to the truck and stacking them.
- Heavy lifting, walking, bending, and pulling. Use of a cart, some mats weigh 50lbs. Required to pick them up off the floor and place a clean one.
