Beacon Recycling, provider of scrap metal management, is seeking a Purchasing Manager to join their team in Muskegon, MI.

If you have 3+ years of Purchasing or Supply Chain Management experience and a 4-year degree OR 5+ years of purchasing or supply chain management experience, this is an opportunity you need to explore!

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Evaluate current purchasing activities and processes throughout the company to then work with the Leadership Team to develop a comprehensive purchasing program that you will manage
• Work within established budgets for all purchases including CAPEX projects
• Evaluate suppliers, create and maintain approved supplier list
• Negotiate contract terms, including price and delivery of goods and services
• Track and ensure timely delivery of orders
• Maintain updated records of purchases, deliveries, and invoices
• Establish, maintain and monitor stock levels and place orders as necessary
• Coordinate with various stakeholders (including ownership) as needed
• Create and maintain good relationships with key suppliers
• Resolve conflicts with delivery schedules, product defects, and parts inventory levels
• Track and report on supplier and vendor performance, as well as cost saving measures reached
