Sonnax Transmission Company, the world’s largest full-line supplier of torque converter parts, is seeking two Manufacturing Engineers to join their team in Bellows Falls, VT. Sonnax is seeking one experienced Manufacturing Engineer and one entry-level Manufacturing Engineer.

Minimum qualifications:

• For entry-level Manufacturing Engineers: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.
• For experienced Manufacturing Engineers: At least 5 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer working with CNC, automation, designing new processes, tooling design, troubleshooting, etc.

Essential duties/responsibilities:

• Supports new product and process development, manufacturing operations, quality and continuous improvement projects.
• Analyzes data, interprets trends and initiates improvement solutions on key performance metrics.
• Creates/supplies production routings, bills of materials, work instructions and processing prints to all applicable work cells, and departments.
• Assists/advises Design Engineers as to the best possible design for manufacturability to ensure product Quality and most effective manufacturing methods to keep costs down.
• Designs, identifies and implements new equipment, tooling and work holding devices into the manufacturing process.
• Stays apprised of new technologies to improve efficiency and resolve manufacturing issues.
• Other duties as assigned.

About the Company: Sonnax designs, manufactures, tests and distributes a wide variety of high quality, innovative products used to remanufacture torque converters, rebuild automatic transmissions, upgrade driveshafts and protect the driveline from over-torque damage.
