Schedule:

• Enjoy Weekends Off: Monday – Friday 6am – 3:30pm
  • Occasional overtime opportunities in the shop and on-site for projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform repair and maintenance of all mobile equipment, aerial boom lifts, scissor lifts, skid loaders, etc.
• Small engine & small tool maintenance and repair.
• Identify and record problems, find solutions to problems through prescribed problem-solving methods, and effectively implement solutions to programs.
• Monitor and improve respective measures.
• Operate and inspect equipment to diagnose defects.
• Dismantle and reassemble mobile equipment to gain access to problem area.
• Repair, replace, clean, and lubricate parts as necessary.
• Repair malfunctioning hydraulic components.
• Diagnose and correct electrical problems.
• Replace malfunctioning subassemblies and components (e.g., transmissions, clutches, differentials, engines, etc.).
• Weld, cut, and fabricate equipment and components.
• Change oil, check and change batteries, perform complete lubrication tasks on equipment, and change tires both on-site and in the shop.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Make recommendations for equipment to be repaired by outside sources.
• Requisition parts, keep records, and report issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in the shop, field and yard.
• Comply with all safety requirements.
• Keep up-to-date vehicle service records.
• Service and maintain MKS equipment when in the shop. Schedule services and repairs, both emergency and standard. Perform annual inspections on related equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory of shop (order parts and supplies as needed).
• Keep up on training and certifications for the shop.
• Manage service plans, service requests, and work orders in tool tracking software.
• Onsite emergency repairs as needed.
• Inventory and maintain service truck.
• Onsite annual lift inspections.
• Carry out planned field scheduled maintenance.
• Supervise and train other mechanics.
