Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct all production activities during second shift, serving as the primary decision‑maker on the floor
- Own and enforce safety, quality, and productivity standards, ensuring policies and procedures are followed consistently
- Supervise, coach, and develop production employees, including Assigning daily work, monitoring performance, addressing attendance, behavior, and performance issues
- Conduct tough but fair conversations when needed, holding team members accountable while maintaining respect and trust
- Monitor production flow and equipment performance, responding quickly to issues to minimize downtime
- Collaborate closely with maintenance to identify equipment concerns and prioritize repairs
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying process gaps, inefficiencies, or recurring issues and taking corrective action
- Ensure accurate documentation related to production, safety, quality, and labor
- Maintain strong communication with plant leadership to: report shift performance, escalate issues appropriately, support operational priorities
- Model a hands‑on, team‑first leadership approach by being visible, accessible, and engaged on the floor
- Support training, onboarding, and cross‑training of team members
