What you will need to be successful in this role:
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015
- GD&T knowledge
- CMM Operation and Programming
- Familiarity with AS9100 and AS9102
- Experience with internal and external audits
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve the Quality Management System in accordance with AS9100 and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Lead internal audits, support external registrar audits, and coordinate customer and regulatory audits.
- Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) using root cause methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, FMEA).
- Review and approve First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in accordance with AS9102 requirements.
- Develop and maintain inspection plans, control plans, and quality documentation.
- Partner with Engineering and Production to ensure compliance for drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve process capability.
- Ensure compliance of and Perform risk assessments and support risk-based thinking initiatives per AS9100 standards.
- Oversee supplier quality performance, conduct supplier audits, and support supplier corrective actions.
- Ensure proper document control, configuration management, and traceability requirements are maintained.
- Monitor KPIs related to scrap, rework, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction.
- Provide quality training and guidance to production teams and cross-functional departments.
- Participate in design reviews and contract review processes to ensure quality requirements are properly defined and achievable.
